I have worked for STEP since April 2012 and I manage all of our on site catering teams.
I have worked in catering for over 12 years and enjoy working with the kitchen staff and being part of STEP.
Our aim is to encourage children to make healthy choices, but also giving them the opportunities to experience a wide variety of different cuisines.
I am the STEP Head Cook for the following STEP Academies:
David Livingstone, Heathfield, Gonville & Angel Oak.
I have covered this position since September 2017; I was previously the Cook at David Livingstone Academy.
I started there as a kitchen assistant and was promoted to assistant cook when the opportunity arose and I was happy to rise to the challenge.
Cooking is a passion of mine, I would always encourage children to taste different dishes and inform them of the ingredients.
I hope to share my enthusiasm and drive to the other academies, the role is challenging and rewarding at the same time.
