Leadership Team

As a teacher and leader within London, Mr Halliwell has held roles as SENDCo, Inclusion Leader and Deputy Headteacher. He has been a Headteacher in 3 schools within the London Boroughs of Newham, Barking & Dagenham and now across all of our STEP academies. Mr Halliwell’s overall aim has been to work with communities who are within the highest areas of deprivation and in turn to make a significant impact on the aspirations and achievement of the children within these communities.

Since joining STEP, and in recognition of outstanding leadership, Mr Halliwell has been an National Leader in Education (NLE).  He is also the Executive Director of Primary across STEP and in addition leads on the SEND and Education Strategy across the Trust.
